KRSU was ranked in the top 5 best universities in Kyrgyzstan according to the results of a national study
Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University took fifth place in the ranking of the best universities in Kyrgyzstan. A study conducted by the EdNet agency, commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Science, covered national educational institutions for the first time and identified their best aspects.
The head of the department of higher, secondary vocational and postgraduate education of the Ministry of Education and Science, Ainura Isirailova, noted that the ministry announced a competition among research agencies to conduct the study. The winner of the competition was the EdNet agency, which start studied at the end of 2023.
The study authors conducted a large-scale survey of teachers and employers. It was attended by 1,001 teachers and 507 employers, who assessed 55 universities in the country. As a result, rankings were compiled covering 27 universities.
President of the EdNet agency Onolkan Umankulova added that this is the first such study in Kyrgyzstan. The assessment methodology was based on the international QS system, which ensured the objectivity and independence of the results.
As a result, the top 5 best universities included:
1. KSMA named after. AND. Akhunbaeva - 461 points
2. Ala-Too University - 453 points
3. KSTU named after. AND. Razzakova - 436 points
4. OshSU - 415 points
5. KRSU named after. B. Yeltsin - 412 points
"This is the first experience where, at the national level, HEI assessment has taken place with the participation of all stakeholders, including employers, the Ministry of Education, university teachers and a research agency. We are confident that this study will be an important step towards improving the quality of higher education in the country," Umankulova noted.
Such a high place of KRSU in the ranking confirms its status as one of the leading educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan and indicates the high quality of teaching and training of specialists.
