The annual international QS World University Rankings 2026 has been published, which includes more than 1,500 leading universities in the world from more than 100 countries. According to the results of the assessment, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University confidently entered the top 3 universities in Kyrgyzstan, taking a position in the group of 1001–1200 best universities in the world.
Along with KRSU, the ranking also included:
• American University in Central Asia (901–950),
• Kyrgyz-Turkish University «Manas» (951–1000),
• KRSU (1001–1200),
• KNU named after. Zh. Balasagyn and KSTU named after. Razzakova (1201–1400).
QS World University Rankings assesses HEIs based on eight main criteria, including academic reputation, academic publishing, graduate employment rates, internationalization, and sustainability.
For KRSU, this is already the second consecutive inclusion in the global ranking, which indicates the stable academic development of the university, its scientific activity and international involvement.
Among the strengths of KRSU noted by analysts are — high academic reputation, close cooperation with universities in Russia and the CIS, international educational programs, as well as stable indicators for the employment of graduates.
QS World University Rankings remains one of the most authoritative world rankings, and the presence of KRSU in this list is an important step not only for the university, but also for the entire higher education system of Kyrgyzstan.
