KRSU concluded a memorandum with «Kyrgizaltyn» and «Kumtor» on the training of engineering personnel

A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and key representatives of the mining industry of Kyrgyzstan. The document was signed by the rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov.The parties to the agreement were OJSC «Kyrgizaltyn», CJSC «Kumtor Gold Company», the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Union of Subsoil Users. The signing was the result of the forum «Leadership Strategy in the New Reality» and is aimed at building systemic interaction between education, science and production.The memorandum provides for the formation of a modern personnel training system for the mining industry, taking into account current challenges and market needs. Priorities include — modernization of educational programs, development of engineering education and the introduction of a dual training format that combines theoretical training with practice in enterprises.Special attention is paid to expanding practice-oriented training. The parties agreed to develop practice bases, organize internships and launch mentoring programs with the participation of industry representatives.The agreement also covers research and development and is focused on creating a sustainable model of interaction between the university, science and industry. It is planned to actively involve students and young scientists in solving applied problems, conducting joint research and introducing innovative technologies into production.The implementation of the memorandum will improve the quality of training of specialists, reduce the gap between theoretical training and practice, and also strengthen the position of the university in the training of engineering personnel. In addition, the agreement creates conditions for closer integration of the educational process with the needs of the economy and expands employment opportunities for graduates.As noted by the rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov, the agreements reached will make it possible to provide the mining sector with qualified personnel ready for modern professional challenges.The memorandum is of a framework nature and provides for the further development of cooperation through the implementation of joint projects, programs and road maps.
