A round table was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University on the topic «Trajectory of development of modern science», bringing together scientists, experts and students to discuss current issues in the field of political science, international relations and the influence of media. The event became an important platform for the exchange of scientific views and analytical approaches that help strengthen dialogue between the academic community and international policy experts.
The round table included two sections, each of which touched on key challenges and prospects for Central Asia and the world community. The first section focused on the peculiarities of the study of international relations and political science in the region, as well as on the influence of media on society. Participants presented reports on such topics as «Regional features of the study of international relations and political science in Central Asia», «Court scandalization and the right to information: how to protect citizens from manipulation in the media space» and «Rhizomorphic transformation of religious phenomena in the media space».
The second section was held in the format of political readings entitled «Central Asia in modern international relations». The topics in this part covered a wide range of issues, including geopolitical challenges, digital colonization of the region by Western corporations, the «soft power» policies of Russia and China, and prospects for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea. Particular attention was paid to issues of the international image of the countries of Central Asia, civic identity and the influence of the initiative «Silk Road Economic Belt».
The round table demonstrated the high importance of integrating scientific research and practical solutions for the region. Participants agreed that such events contribute not only to the development of scientific thought, but also strengthen cooperation in solving common problems and challenges.
