Lecturers of the Society «Knowledge» held educational meetings with students of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan
The events took place within the framework of a cultural and educational project «the 80th anniversary of our common Victory in the Great Patriotic War». The organizer was the Russian Society «Knowledge» and an autonomous non-profit organization «Center for the Implementation of Student Projects and Programs» under a grant from the Ministry of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region with the support of the Public Chamber of the Sverdlovsk Region.
The cultural and educational project «80th anniversary of our common Victory in the Great Patriotic War» is aimed at countering attempts to falsify history, promoting the preservation of historical memory in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.
«Our eight-day educational project, implemented jointly with numerous partners, has demonstrated its effectiveness and received a large number of positive reviews. Eight leading lecturers of the Russian Society «Knowledge» from Yekaterinburg took part in it. In this regard, we understood the most important thing – in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, this project should be extended. We are now planning educational activities for next year, anchor events have already been identified, and we are also working on interesting proposals», – said the head of the development department of the Urals Federal District of the Russian Society «Knowledge» Ivan Popp.
Educational meetings dedicated to preserving the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War were held at schools and higher educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Chairman of the Council of the regional branch of the First Movement of the Sverdlovsk Region spoke to schoolchildren and students Irina Griban, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Advisor to the Minister of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region, Associate Professor at the Scientific Research Center of UrFU Isabella Ogonowska, lecturer at the Institute of Economics and Management Ural Federal University Andrey Rusakov, head of the Department of Russian History, Ural State Pedagogical University Galina Kruglikova, deputy Director of the Institute for Educational Programs and Social Partnership, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism of the Ural Federal University Dmitry Chernoukhov, associate Professor of the Department «Faculty of Journalism» of UrFU Rafail Iskhakov and Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Pedagogical Comparativistics of the Ural State Pedagogical University Tatiana Dorokhova.
«A very interesting experience. Many guys turned out to be well prepared from the point of view of the history of the Soviet Union and the Great Patriotic War. And this could not but rejoice. The children were in a very good mood. They very soulfully perceived the history of the war and the tragedy. The girls cried and stayed after I finished the lecture, asked questions, and took pictures. I really liked the way the guys thought. How they hear», – shared Tatiana Dorokhova.
The nominee Knowledge also spoke to the audience online. Award in the direction «Foreign Educator of the Year», international analyst, photographer, writer Christian Lamesa. He gave a lecture on the role of the USSR in the victory over fascism.
«Thank you for the opportunity to speak to schoolchildren and students. I believe that it is very important to preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War and honestly reflect the position on the role of the USSR. If it were not for the victory over fascism, I would not now be a free citizen», <TAG1> he noted.
Let us note that the Russian Society «Knowledge» is actively involved in the development of international educational activities. Last year, four cooperation agreements were concluded in Kyrgyzstan – with a secondary school «Epsilon», a foundation «Didactics», Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn. This year, documents were signed with the Russian-Tajik secondary school named after Yuri Gagarin and a secondary school with in-depth study of individual subjects in the city of Tursunzade named after D.I. Mendeleev. Also, branded lecture halls of the Russian Society «Knowledge» have been opened on the basis of these two schools. They host events both in person and online.

Russian society «Knowledge» it traces its history back to a Soviet public organization founded in 1947 on the initiative of representatives of the Soviet intelligentsia as the «All-Union Society for the Dissemination of Political and Scientific Knowledge» (since 1963 – All-Union Society «Knowledge», since 1991 – Society «Knowledge of Russia»). Members of the Society were engaged in the popularization of science and gave lectures on the achievements of the Soviet economy and industry. In 2016 «Knowledge of Russia» was transformed into the All-Russian public-state educational organization «Russian Society «Knowledge».On April 21, 2021, in the Address of the President of the Russian Federation to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin announced the need to restart the Russian Society «Knowledge» on a modern digital platform.
