International festival «Code of Peace» in Sevastopol: the KRSU team was awarded a prize of 100,000 rubles
An international festival on sports programming «Code of Peace» was held in Sevastopol, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city from the Nazi invaders. 18 teams from various countries took part in the competition, including Russia, Kyrgyzstan, South Ossetia, Azerbaijan and Belarus.
The team of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) was represented by 4th and 3rd year students of the IVT department in the field of Software Engineering: Arthur Bushev, Vladimir Bedash, Aktan Astarkulov, Danil Babakov and Vadim Vasilenko. The team coach was Irina Vladimirovna Khmeleva. The KRSU team took an honorable 7th place and received a prize of 100,000 rubles.
«This was our first experience of participating in such events. The team showed a good result and gained valuable experience, which will undoubtedly help in the future to achieve higher prizes», – the participants shared.
At the competition, teams were asked to solve a case aimed at simplifying the work of HR managers of IT companies. Despite the complexity of the task, the guys successfully completed the basic requirements of the case and presented a worthy solution.
The winner of the festival was a team from Orenburg, whose prize fund amounted to 400,000 rubles.
The competition was organized by the Russian Sports Programming Federation.
