International round table at KRSU: Convergence of society in the information space

An international round table was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) on the topic “Convergence of society in the information space”. Students, teachers, media executives and business representatives participated.

The discussion was devoted to current issues related to information challenges facing modern society. A number of issues were discussed, including the role of media in the development of social convergence and the impact of media communications on the processes of Eurasian integration. The main message of the event was that it was necessary to seek common ground, not differences, and move towards the same goal.

Vitaly Pankov, head of the department of journalism at KRSU, emphasized: “Today we live in a world of information flows, and we are not discussing the event itself, but discussing the reaction to the event. The event is held to understand the difference between those who do the job and those who tell you information and make a career for themselves”.

As part of the conference, a video created by students of the department was shown. This was another example of how students of KRSU actively and creatively approach learning. The event became an important platform for the exchange of opinions and experiences, as well as for discussing current issues in the field of information technology and media. It has contributed to strengthening links between educational institutions, business and the media, and has stimulated the further development of scientific research in this area.
