MEPhI and KRSU: development of nuclear medicine
A seminar-meeting was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University on the prospects for cooperation with the National Research University «MEPhI» in the field of «Nuclear Medicine». The main speaker was MEPhI Associate Professor Igor Korniletsky.
MEPhI and KRSU are actively developing cooperation in the field of medicine, aimed at improving the quality of education and training of specialists according to international standards. One of the main study programs interactions is nuclear medicine – a field that combines medical research with advanced technologies in the field of nuclear physics.
One of the key aspects of cooperation is the opportunity for free internships for KRSU students at MEPhI. This opens up unique opportunities for young professionals to learn practically and immerse themselves in cutting-edge scientific research. Students will be able to work in modern laboratories, participate in research projects and learn from leading scientists and specialists in the field of nuclear medicine.
At the seminar-meeting, prospects and directions for further cooperation between MEPhI and KRSU were discussed. Korniletsky spoke in detail about the opportunities that open up for KRSU students, as well as about the scientific and educational programs available at MEPhI. Particular attention was paid to the importance of training highly qualified personnel to work in the field of nuclear medicine, which is one of the most promising and sought-after areas of modern medicine.
Nuclear medicine covers a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic methods using radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals. Radionuclide diagnostic techniques such as positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) are actively applied in this field, allowing the detection of various diseases in the early stages. In addition, nuclear medicine plays a key role in cancer therapy, using radiotherapy and radionuclide therapy to target tumor cells.
