Metropolitan Vikenty and Bishop Savvaty took part in the panel discussion «Slavic University 2050: prospects and priorities»
On October 12, a panel discussion took place «Slavic University -2050: prospects and priorities», in which Metropolitan Vincent of Tashkent and Uzbekistan and Bishop Savvaty of Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan took part.
The event was attended by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov and the Minister of Science and Education of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, representatives of government agencies, ministries of education of the two countries, heads of partner universities and Slavic universities.
Minister of Science and Education of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva noted the importance of the Russian language in the country. After it, Valery Falkov spoke, congratulated KRSU on its anniversary and thanked the university staff for their fruitful work.
During the discussion, the ministers came to the conclusion that it is necessary to pay special attention to the training of teachers for all levels of education. The parties discussed the future of the university, which should be dynamic and include all levels of education.
Then the bishops met with the rector of KRSU Denis Fomin-Nilov. During the conversation, Denis Valerievich voiced the task of building a new campus, which was set for the university leadership by the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
Subsequently, the bishops toured the exhibition, which presented preliminary works as part of a concept design competition for the future campus. Professional architects and students of the Faculty of Architecture of KRSU took part in the creation of the preliminary proposals.
During the conversation, the parties talked about the necessary aspects of successful development and modernization of educational processes, improving the quality of education, and opening new faculties.
