Young designers KRSU at the International Nomad Fashion Festival — 2025
On October 30–31, the IX season of the International Nomad Fashion Festival «MUUN 2025» took place in Bishkek. This year's theme is — «Generation». The event brought together Central Asian designers rethinking the cultural heritage of nomads in a modern fashion context.
KRSU has traditionally been an active participant in the festival. Students of the Department of Artistic Design of Products of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction presented six national collections of Central Asian countries, demonstrating the richness of traditions and creative vision of the younger generation of designers.
Ainazik Kubandyk kyzy, a student of the ICT-1-21 group, presented the collection «We Are Still Here», created under the leadership of Maksutova Maksat and Aigerim Sherimbekova. The concept is based on — the idea of generational continuity and preservation of the cultural code through time.
Rahimat Mirzabekova presented her own collection of women's clothing inspired by Circassian ethnicity. Under the leadership of Maksutova, Maksat, the designer created images that combine laconic forms, symbolic patterns and a modern interpretation of national motifs.
The head of the KhPI department, Maksat Maksutova, was awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic for many years of support and active participation in organizing the festival.
Nomad Fashion Festival — is not just a catwalk, but a space for dialogue between generations, cultures and aesthetics. For KRSU students, participation in it became an opportunity to express themselves, demonstrate professional skills and contribute to the development of regional fashion.
