On the way to new discoveries! KRSU hosted ceremonial assemblies for Knowledge Day
Today, the main building of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University had a particularly festive and exciting atmosphere. A series of ceremonial assemblies dedicated to Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year took place at the university site.
This year KRSU accepted 2265 applicants I met the students in the ranks 50 first graders schools at the university. Separate lines were organized for first-year students of each faculty: deans and teachers introduced newcomers to the peculiarities of the educational process, student traditions and prospects that studying at KRSU opens up. A separate line was held for schoolchildren.
Rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He congratulated everyone on the holiday, thanked the teachers and parents for their support and wished the freshmen determination, perseverance and bright discoveries in their chosen profession. «We are very glad that you chose our university. I am confident that the knowledge and experience gained here will become a solid foundation for your life and future career. The university is developing and changing along with its students», — noted the rector.
Friends of the university also came to congratulate students and teachers on the start of the school year. Head of representative offices of Rossotrudnichestvo in Kyrgyzstan In his speech, Albert Zulkarneev emphasized the importance of KRSU as a unique educational platform:
«You begin a wonderful and exciting journey. And you do it in a very correct place — in front of the monument to Pushkin, at the university that unites Kyrgyzstan and the entire Eurasian space. You have the opportunity to receive both Kyrgyz and Russian education at the same time. This is a huge chance for everyone. The future belongs to you!».
He also quoted the address of Russian President Vladimir Putin to schoolchildren and students, where words were heard that the future belongs to smart, educated, active and caring people who strive to benefit their country and achieve goals through deeds and achievements.
Advisor to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Robert Fedorov addressed the first-year students with a welcoming speech:
«Dear freshmen! Let me, on behalf of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, congratulate you on the start of the academic year. Today's celebrations in Kyrgyzstan and Russia — confirmation of the closeness of our countries and fraternal relations between peoples. More than 19 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan study at Russian universities, and today's first-year students of KRSU become part of this large and friendly family. Here in Kyrgyzstan, you get a unique opportunity to master Russian education without leaving the republic, and at the same time open the way to academic exchanges, new acquaintances and strengthening ties between our countries».
Vice-rectors and deans of faculties took part in the ceremony. For many, this day became a symbolic beginning of a long journey towards the world of science, technology, medicine and engineering.
The festive atmosphere was supported by the creative teams of the university: the concert program gave the audience bright performances and showed that KRSU values not only knowledge, but also the talent, creativity and activity of students.
The ceremonial line-up became the start of a new academic year, which promises to be full of discoveries, projects and victories, and for freshmen — a time of first steps into the profession, new acquaintances and important life decisions.
