An event dedicated to Epic Day «Manas» was held at the Faculty of Law of KRSU

On December 4, a thematic event was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University dedicated to the Day of the Epic «Manas» — a significant date established for the preservation, study and popularization of the national cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.

The epic «Manas» is the most important part of the spiritual and historical tradition of the Kyrgyz people, a symbol of their unity, memory and continuity of generations. Included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, it occupies a special place on the educational and humanitarian agenda of the university.

The following events took place as part of the program:
• student speeches;
• reading passages from the epic;
• discussion of the significance of the trilogy «Manas» in modern society and its role in the formation of national identity.

The event was organized by the Department of Kyrgyz Language KRSU and is aimed at strengthening young people’s interest in the country’s cultural heritage, expanding knowledge about epic art and maintaining respect for traditions.

KRSU continues to develop humanitarian initiatives aimed at preserving and studying the historical and cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.
