OBITUARY
BEBINOV EVGENIY MIKHAILOVICH
1945-2025
On February 7, 2025, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Senior Researcher, Head of Laboratory «Optimization of the Educational Process» of the Department of Normal Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine KRSU, Excellent in Healthcare of the Kyrgyz Republic Bebinov Evgeniy Mikhailovich passed away.
Born in August 1945 in the city of Frunze, shortly after receiving his diploma from KSMI in 1970, he began his career at the Central Research Institute of KSMI as a junior researcher, studying blood in lowland and mountain animal species in high altitude conditions. At the same time, the first scientific works of the young scientist were published together with Professor Aghajanyan N.A. from the Institute of Medical and Biological Problems of the USSR Ministry of Health, Moscow. He was drafted into the armed forces in 1972 and serves as a doctor in a division of the missile brigade of the Trans-Baikal Military District. After demobilization, he entered the graduate school of KSMA, where his supervisor was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S.B. Daniyarov. He successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis and later received a senior researcher certificate.
Thanks to his hard work and dedication to the cause of science, combined with remarkable energy and organizational skills of E.M. Bebinov headed the Central Research Institute of KSMA. His major contribution to science was the study of the mechanisms of cerebrovascular accident in high-altitude experiments. Particular attention was paid to the automation of pressure chamber lifts and the use of statistical methods for processing medical and biological data using a computer.
Throughout his life E.M. Bebinov was devoted to physiology, was a unique innovative teacher, and an excellent experimenter. From 1996 to this day, he was the head of the laboratory «Optimization of the educational process» of the Department of Normal Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine KRSU.
The workshop on human and animal physiology, developed by him and his colleagues, has been introduced into the curriculum and has been used at the Faculty of Medicine for the past twenty years to train future doctors.
Evgeniy Mikhailovich organized a number of high-mountain scientific physiological expeditions, consultant and co-director of candidate works, mentor of circle students. Author of more than 200 printed works.
His strict ability to work and significant contribution to the development of science were awarded a medal «For services to the university», certificates of honor, and an honorary badge «Excellence in Healthcare of the Kyrgyz Republic».
We, work colleagues, students and graduate students, spoke of him as a high-class professional. We loved him infinitely for his warmth, responsiveness and tolerance. His bright and kind personality will forever remain in our memory and hearts.
