Emergency cardiology in focus: KRSU hosted the annual student conferenceAt the Department of Therapy № 2 specialties «General Medicine» of the Faculty of Medicine of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, a traditional annual student conference was held for fourth-year students undergoing practical training. The scientific event was held under the leadership of the head of the department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor I.S. Sabirova.This year the conference was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov. The organizers noted that the ideas of humanism, responsibility and service to man, which run through the entire work of the writer, are consonant with the fundamental principles of the medical profession.The central theme of the conference was emergency conditions in cardiology. Students presented reports on the issues of sudden cardiac death and hypertensive crises, and examined modern approaches to diagnosis, emergency medical care and the prevention of cardiovascular complications.During the discussion, teachers of the department took an active part in the scientific discussion. Together with students, they analyzed clinical cases, answered professional questions and analyzed patient management algorithms in accordance with current clinical recommendations.Such conferences are an integral part of the practical training of students of the Faculty of Medicine KRSU. This format helps to consolidate theoretical knowledge, develop clinical thinking, improve public speaking and professional discussion skills, as well as develop the competencies necessary for future doctors to make decisions in real clinical practice.
