The new intergovernmental agreement and the opening of the school became the topic of a meeting of KRSU with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation
A meeting was held via video conferencing at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University with the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky. The discussion was devoted to two key issues — the intergovernmental agreement signed the day before on the construction of a new campus of KRSU and the opening of the KRSU school after major repairs and re-equipment.
Konstantin Mogilevsky noted that the signing of the agreement was the result of a lot of joint work, and emphasized the importance of further steps and lays the foundation for a large-scale modernization of its infrastructure. According to him, the design of the campus will be carried out by a Russian company specializing in the construction of large educational complexes.
A separate block of the meeting was dedicated to the KRSU school, which began working in an updated format. Earlier, Konstantin Mogilevsky supported the decision to switch the school to a free model, emphasizing that access to education should be the basic principle of a joint Russian-Kyrgyz project.
«Demand is high and enrollment of the first three classes is planned. It is necessary to ensure accessibility for everyone», — Mogilevsky noted.
The Deputy Minister expressed gratitude to the teaching staff and school administration for working under renovation conditions and noted that the updated premises and modern equipment create qualitatively new conditions for learning.
Rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov thanked the Russian side for its support and emphasized that thanks to the intergovernmental agreement, the university received a new impetus for development. He noted that students and teachers are already involved in preliminary design developments for the future campus.
Director of the KRSU school Olga Alaeva expressed gratitude for the allocated funds and attention to the development of the educational institution, emphasizing that the created conditions can significantly improve the quality of the educational process.
Summing up, Konstantin Mogilevsky confirmed the readiness of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science to continue supporting the university and school, noting that the implementation of the intergovernmental agreement will become the basis for updating the KRSU infrastructure and further development of the educational environment.
After completing the video conference, Rector Sergei Volkov addressed university and school staff, noting that the development of all levels of education remains a priority and that the upcoming meeting of the board of trustees in December and the subsequent renewal of infrastructure will be important stages in the life of the university.
