The new office of the Russian word in KRSU was named in honor of Aitmatov

The grand opening of the Russian Word Office, named after Chingiz Aitmatov, took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. This project was implemented with the support of the Institute of Russian Language of RUDN University.

The initiative to create a cultural space dedicated to Chingiz Aitmatov was approved by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science in 2023. The project, aimed at supporting and developing the Russian language in Slavic universities abroad, was successfully presented in four countries, including Kyrgyzstan.

The Russian word office will host classes on learning the Russian language, as well as advanced training programs. Seminars, conferences and summer schools for children are also planned. The opening of the Russian word cabinet became a symbol of the desire to preserve and promote the Russian language and culture in Kyrgyzstan.

Chingiz Aitmatov, after whom the office is named, is an honorary academician of RUDN University, a classic of world literature and a bilingual writer.
