Education in focus: meeting of the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Education and leading universities
Today, at the Zhusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University, an extended meeting was held with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baysalov and Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation Bakhtiyar Orozov.
This is the first meeting at such a high level after the creation of the new Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting was attended by representatives of the country's leading universities, including the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov.
Speaking from the podium, Edil Baysalov personally congratulated Sergei Volkov on his recent appointment as rector of KRSU, noting the importance of the university as a platform for strengthening the Kyrgyz-Russian educational partnership.
The main topics of discussion concerned the current activities of universities, improving the quality of higher education, as well as the implementation of personnel policy in the context of transformation of the management system. Special attention was paid to the presentation of deputies of the new ministry, who will oversee key areas in the field of science and education.
The meeting was of a working nature and became a platform for open dialogue between the state and the academic community. Participants discussed the need to modernize educational standards, train new generation scientific and teaching staff, expand international cooperation and digitalize higher education.
