Representatives of KRSU take part in the III International Conference «Digital Humanities in the Global World»

On June 24, the III International Scientific and Practical Conference «Digital Humanities in the Global World» began, bringing together representatives of universities, scientific organizations and educational centers from the CIS countries. The conference was organized by the Belarusian-Russian University and the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.On behalf of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, the conference participants were greeted by the rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov.In his address, he emphasized that the synthesis of technologies and humanities today is one of the most promising study programs in the development of education and scientific research.«Digital tools and artificial intelligence do not replace humans, but empower the teacher and student. They open up new approaches in linguistics, allow for different work with historical sources and archives, and also transform the educational process, making it more accessible and effective», — noted Sergei Volkov.The Rector also emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation and noted the long-term partnership of KRSU with the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, which includes joint research projects, academic mobility programs, international forums and initiatives for the development of modern educational technologies.In full-time KRSU format, the conference is represented by the head of the administration’s staff, Yulia Kalyuzhnaya, the director of the change management office, Lidia Yanina, and the analyst of the digital infrastructure department, Aizhan Muratbekova.Yulia Kalyuzhnaya made a report «On state policy in the field of protection, support and development of the Russian language in the Kyrgyz Republic». In her speech, she presented an analysis of the current language situation in Kyrgyzstan, examined issues of the functioning of the Russian language in the educational, social and cultural spheres, as well as current areas of state language policy.Lydia Yanina takes part in project and strategic sessions of Slavic universities dedicated to the implementation of university development programs, the exchange of best practices in change management and the development of new study programs international cooperation between universities.KRSU staff and teachers also take an active part in the thematic sections of the conference. Presentations are made by Vice-Rector for Youth and Information Policy Stanislav Kulikov («Classical Archivistics and Digital Technologies). Experience of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University»), senior lecturer at the Department of Russian Philology Gyulayim Toksombaeva («Application of artificial intelligence in determining the word-formation motivation of words in the Russian and Kyrgyz languages»), associate professor of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations and the Department of International Journalism Rashid Zainulin («Becoming and development of printed advertising in the first periodicals of Kyrgyzstan») associate Professor Natalia Slobodyanyuk («Transformation of language thinking and the language picture of the world in the context of the use of generative artificial intelligence technologies»), Deputy Director of the Russian Language Institute Aigerim Ernisova («Use of TikTok and Instagram content in teaching Russian to 1st year students of advertising specialties KRSU (using the example of Kyrgyzstan)») and Professor Anvar Bugazov («Digitalization of education and the formation of critical thinking of students»).The conference brings together representatives of universities, scientific organizations and educational centers from the CIS countries and other countries. Her work discusses the role of digital technology and artificial intelligence in the humanities, education, culture and international academic collaboration.The participation of KRSU representatives in the conference helps strengthen international academic ties, develop cooperation with Slavic universities and promote the university’s scientific research on an international platform.
