«Preventing destructive behavior and extremism among young people: problems of legal regulation and law enforcement»
An international strategic session was held at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University on the topic «Prevention of destructive behavior and extremism among young people: problems of legal regulation and law enforcement».
Ivan Kolpakov, Vice-Rector for Science, International and Innovation Activities of KRSU, delivered a welcoming speech at the event, who emphasized the importance of discussing issues related to the prevention of extremism and destructive trends among young people.
The session was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after. First President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin (Institute for the Prevention of Destructiveness and Extremism among Youth) and the International Public Organization «Union of Criminologists and Criminologists».
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Academy of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Law Academy of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as higher educational institutions of the country.
The session program included reports on current topics such as youth destructive subcultures, destructive online communities, religious extremism and a comparison of legal approaches in the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation. The final presentation of the training manual «Criminology: countering extremism and terrorism: international and national experience» was an important milestone in the discussion and prevention of extremism.
The session ended with an active exchange of views and proposals to improve legal regulation and increase the effectiveness of measures to counter extremism.
