KRSU teachers discussed with experts effective methods of teaching international humanitarian law
A seminar «Effective methods of teaching international humanitarian law and modern challenges» was held at the Kara-Bulak mountain hotel (Arashan village, organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Leading scientists, researchers and experts made presentations at the seminar; The meeting participants exchanged experience in teaching IHL and discussed current methods of teaching IHL with Doctor of Law, ICRC Regional Adviser on Legal Affairs in Eastern Europe and Central Asia Andrey Kozik.
The seminar was attended by employees of the Department of International and Constitutional Law KRSU Aidar Dzhumagulov, Bekbosun Borubashov, Damira Baygazieva, Aigul Tukubasheva, Temirbek Nurmatov, Nazira Tursunbaeva, Salamat Choguldurov, Nasiba Eshmuradova, as well as representatives from the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and KNU.
As a result of the seminar, ICRC teachers and envoys decided to create a Coordination Council, the chairman of which was elected Deputy Dean for Science of the Faculty of Law of KRSU, Associate Professor Nazira Tursunbaeva. Associate Professor Nasiba Eshmuradova noted that the activities of the newly formed Constitutional Court will be aimed at solving problems related to the teaching of IHL in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as coordinating issues related to cooperation with international organizations and government bodies on IHL issues.
