Teachers from KRSU took part in international Constitutional readings

Associate professors of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, candidates of legal sciences Salia Tailakova and Aliya Maralbaeva took part in the II Constitutional Readings.The forum was dedicated to the Lawyer's Day of the Kyrgyz Republic and brought together more than 110 participants - representatives of the Constitutional Court, the judicial system, the Jogorku Kenesh, the Akyikatcha Institute (Ombudsman), prosecutors, other government bodies, the academic and legal community, as well as experts from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, China and other countries.The participants focused on issues of constitutional guarantees of human rights and freedoms, protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and other socially vulnerable categories of the population, development of inclusive access to justice, digitalization of the legal sphere and application of international human rights standards.Opening the event, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic Emil Oskonbaev noted that the program of Constitutional readings reflects the most pressing directions in the development of modern constitutional law.«It is no coincidence that the program of Constitutional Readings includes issues of accessibility to justice, the digital environment, social rights and international standards for the protection of human rights. All these topics are united by one goal - to make human rights a reality for everyone», he emphasized.According to Emil Oskonbaev, an important feature of the forum was the participation of representatives of different states and professional communities.«The participation of representatives from different countries and different professional communities gives particular value to our forum. It is in open dialogue that ideas and decisions are born that help improve legislation, law enforcement practice and the activities of state institutions», noted the Chairman of the Constitutional Court.Following the II Constitutional Readings, the participants adopted a resolution with recommendations aimed at strengthening constitutional guarantees of human rights and freedoms, improving legislation, and developing accessible and inclusive justice.The forum was organized by the Constitutional Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and the International University of the Kyrgyz Republic with the organizational support of the country's leading higher educational institutions that train legal personnel.The participation of KRSU teachers in the Constitutional Readings became the university’s contribution to the professional discussion of current issues in the development of constitutional law, improving legal mechanisms for the protection of human rights and strengthening international academic cooperation.
