Presentation of the Comprehensive Research Expedition along the routes of Semenov Tien-Shansky in KRSU

A presentation dedicated to the Comprehensive Research Expedition along the main routes of Semenov-Tyan-Shansky, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding geographer and researcher, took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU). This event became an important milestone in the cooperation of KRSU and the Russian Geographical Society (RGS), emphasizing the importance of the historical and cultural heritage of the region.

At the meeting, the expedition members shared their impressions and the results of research conducted during the expedition. They told students about the routes taken by Semenov-Tyan-Shansky, his contribution to the study of Central Asia and modern approaches to the study of natural and cultural monuments associated with his name.

The presentation aroused great interest among students who were able to learn about the rare facts and features of the great scientist’s travels.

As part of the event, the winners of the competition organized by the Russian Geographical Society were also awarded. The competition participants demonstrated their knowledge and creative approach to researching the legacy of Semenov-Tyan-Shansky. The awards were given to students who showed the most activity and creativity in their work. Cooperation between KRSU and the Russian Geographical Society continues to develop, opening up new horizons for students and researchers.
