President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov noted the role of KRSU in the development of humanitarian ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan
On October 9, the Second Summit «Central Asia – Russia» was held in Dushanbe, in which the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov took part. In his speech, the head of state emphasized the importance of deepening political, economic and humanitarian cooperation between the countries of the region and the Russian Federation.
The President noted that for the states of Central Asia, Russia remains a key trade and economic partner, occupying one of the leading positions in terms of trade turnover and attracted investments. According to him, an equally strong foundation of cooperation is interaction in the humanitarian sphere — education, culture and sports.
Sadyr Zhaparov paid special attention to the role of the Boris Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, emphasizing its importance in strengthening humanitarian ties between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
«Humanitarian ties are a solid foundation on which our future together is built, especially in key areas such as education, culture and sports. Over the past years, tens of thousands of highly qualified specialists have been trained in Russia. Today, these specialists work both in Kyrgyzstan and in Russia, playing an important role in strengthening interstate relations. At the same time, we are faced with major plans to modernize the educational infrastructure. In particular, the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after Boris Yeltsin will be transformed into a modern educational center that will meet international standards», — noted Sadyr Zhaparov.
In addition, the head of state emphasized that important steps towards deepening humanitarian cooperation were the successful implementation of the project «Russian teacher abroad» and plans to build nine new schools in Kyrgyzstan, the first three of which will open their doors in 2027. The President also noted the importance of launching the activities of the International Organization for the Russian Language, which will become an additional tool for the development of humanitarian ties and intercultural dialogue.
The President's speech confirmed the strategic importance of educational and cultural ties as one of the most important study programs bilateral partnerships, and also emphasized the contribution of KRSU to the training of new generation specialists capable of implementing joint initiatives of Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
