The priorities of youth policy of universities were discussed at a meeting of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science in Moscow

Vice-Rector for Youth and Information Policy of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Stanislav Kulikov takes part in the annual working meeting of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, which brought together about 600 representatives of universities in Moscow.The meeting takes place at the National Center «Russia». It is attended by vice-rectors for youth policy and educational activities, as well as employees of university branches. The main topic of the meeting is key areas of work and tasks for the 2026/27 academic year.The results of the work over the past three years and future plans were presented by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Olga Petrova.According to her data, 628 universities have joined the program «Training by Ministry». More than 900 thousand students and over nine thousand teachers are involved in the project, more than 35 thousand social problems have been solved.By 2030, the program should reach 70–75% of full-time students. Another area of work is related to the training of specialists in the field of educational activities - about 40 thousand teachers have already completed the corresponding programs.«The task of universities is to carry out systematic work to involve students in volunteer and social activities, introducing formats that resonate with young people throughout the country. In order for this task to be solved as efficiently as possible, we are developing digital services, methodological support and new mechanisms for supporting universities», Petrova said.On the first day of the meeting, representatives of partner organizations and the Russian Ministry of Education and Science presented the main projects in the field of youth policy and educational activities. Departmental awards were also presented.Today, August 28, the meeting continues at the sites of the Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov and MISIS University. Participants work within thematic sections and seminars devoted to current issues of youth policy and educational activities in universities.
