Expanding international relations: KRSU and Lanzhou University discussed joint projects

A working meeting between the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Ainura Akmatalieva and a delegation from the Institute of Politics and International Relations of Lanzhou University took place at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.The delegation included the Dean of the Institute, Professor Zhu Yongbiao, Vice-Dean, Associate Professor Gao Wanni, Professor Wang Sihai, Professor Jiao Yiqiang, and foreign professor Olga Pronkina.During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for the development of academic cooperation. It focused on the issues of expanding the academic mobility of students and teachers, organizing joint scientific events, as well as preparing and publishing scientific articles and monographs.A separate area of discussion was the possibility of student participation in international educational programs and grant support. Representatives of Lanzhou University spoke about existing programs for foreign students, including special grants that cover the cost of education and accommodation.These initiatives include — programs under the international project «One Belt — One Road» aimed at attracting foreign students, as well as Chinese government grants (CSC Scholarship), which provide full funding for education, accommodation and scholarships for students of all levels of training —from bachelor's degree to doctoral studies.In addition, the parties confirmed their interest in developing joint scientific research and strengthening partnerships in the field of international relations.The meeting was the next step in expanding academic ties between KRSU and foreign universities and creating additional opportunities for students and teachers in the scientific and educational field.
