Infrastructure development and practice-oriented training: the rector held a working meeting at FADiS
Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov held a working meeting with teachers of the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction, the dean of the faculty and the director of the college KRSU. The focus was on the development of educational infrastructure, practical training of students, equipping laboratories and strengthening interaction between the faculty and the college.
One of the key topics was the creation of new educational laboratories where students will be able to practice skills in blue-collar professions. Sergey Volkov emphasized that a practice-oriented approach is the most important component of the educational process:
«We must not only teach how to design, but also give the opportunity to create. The university is ready to support all initiatives if there is a real result behind them».
The rector also focused on logistics and equipment procurement. It is planned to insulate and re-equip laboratory premises and update computer classes. Separately, Sergei Volkov noted the need for active participation of teachers and students of the faculty in the construction of university facilities.
During the meeting, issues of career guidance, training of personnel reserves and expansion of additional education programs were raised. According to the rector, it is important to unite the efforts of the college and the faculty in order to build a unified system for training specialists — from blue-collar professions to engineers and architects.
Concluding the meeting, Sergei Volkov emphasized:
«The main thing is — to treat the university as a common cause. When everyone in their place does everything possible for development, together we move KRSU forward. The Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction has enormous potential, and today it is important to use it as efficiently as possible».
As a result of the meeting, a number of practical steps are outlined — from preparing applications for equipment to launching new educational laboratories and joint projects of the faculty and college.
