Rector of KRSU gave an interview to SPUTNIK Kyrgyzstan: results of the year and development plans

The rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University became a guest of the SPUTNIK Kyrgyzstan studio, where, in a conversation with correspondent Timur Osmonov, he summed up the results of the outgoing year. During the interview, he noted the key decisions and events that determined the development of the university.

One of the main topics was the decision to begin construction of the new KRSU campus, which required serious preparation and overcoming a number of organizational difficulties. The rector also spoke about a large-scale renovation of the university’s infrastructure, the implementation of which is already affecting the quality of the educational environment.

A separate block of the conversation was devoted to the admissions campaign. This year the university admitted almost 2 500 applicants, bringing the total number of students to 9 000. The educational preferences of applicants were also considered: the rector noted which areas of training had become the most in demand, and emphasized the importance of developing pedagogical and engineering specialties.
