The rector of KRSU discussed cooperation with the Research Center «One Belt – One Road» and the EAEU
As part of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, a meeting was held between the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin Sergei Volkov with the director of the Research Center «One Belt – One Road» and the EAEU of the Northwestern University of the People's Republic of China (g. Xi'an) Zhang Wanting.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the prospects for academic and scientific cooperation. Particular attention was paid to issues of joint research in the field of Eurasian integration, the development of scientific exchanges and expanding opportunities for academic mobility of students and teachers.
Among those discussed are study programs — learning Chinese, strengthening ties in economics and management and working together in the field of natural sciences.
Sergey Volkov noted that it is strategically important for KRSU to strengthen ties with leading universities in China, especially in the context of interaction within the framework of the «One Belt – One Road» initiative and the Eurasian Economic Union. According to him, the university is open to new formats of joint projects, including holding conferences, creating research sites and participating in international educational programs.
Zhang Wanting, in turn, emphasized the importance of expanding partnerships between educational and research centers of China and Kyrgyzstan. She expressed confidence that the interaction between KRSU and Northwestern University will contribute to deepening scientific dialogue and strengthening humanitarian ties in Eurasia.
In the near future, the parties plan to determine specific areas of cooperation.
