Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) Sergei Volkov gave an interview to the Student Media Center of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). In a conversation with young journalists, he spoke about student life at KRSU and the development of youth initiatives at the university.One of the topics of conversation was the development of student media and the participation of young people in joint Russian-Kyrgyz projects. Representatives of the Student Media Center shared their experience of participating in the Russian-Kyrgyz Media Forum, which was held at the KRSU site in 2025 and 2026.In 2026, the media forum attracted more than 80 participants. It was attended by representatives of student media from 12 regions of Russia, as well as KRSU and the Kyrgyz National University.The meeting participants at the EEF discussed the possibilities of further interaction between student media in Russia and Kyrgyzstan, exchange of experience between young journalists and the implementation of joint information projects.The Student Media Center of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science unites young journalists and representatives of student media, creating a platform for the development of youth information projects.
