Rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov visited the Faculty of Economics
At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. N. Yeltsin, a working meeting was held between Rector Sergei Volkov and the staff of the Faculty of Economics. The Dean and Heads of Department participated in the discussion.
The main topic of conversation was improving the quality of training of specialists and compliance of educational programs with modern economic requirements.
«It is important to understand who the faculty prepares and for what industries. Graduates must be competitive in the labor market, so educational programs must be regularly updated taking into account modern economic trends and the needs of employers», — emphasized the rector of KRSU Sergei Volkov.
Particular attention was paid to the practical orientation of final qualifying works, as well as issues of interaction between the faculty and employers and graduates. The idea of creating was discussed loyalty programs for university partners and increasing the participation of graduates in educational and career projects.
A separate block of the meeting was devoted to the infrastructural development of the faculty. Already this winter, it is planned to reconstruct the sports area in the courtyard — two volleyball courts will be updated. The possibility of creating a new classroom for economics students is also being considered.
As a result of the visit, specific steps were identified to modernize the infrastructure and improve the educational process, aimed at improving the quality of personnel training and strengthening the position of the faculty as one of the key centers of economic education in KRSU.
