Rector of KRSU Sergey Volkov completed training in the personnel management reserve program in the field of science, technology and higher education
Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first President of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin Sergey Yuryevich Volkov completed training under the Program for the Development of Personnel Management Reserve in the field of science, technology and higher education.
The program, implemented by the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation together with the university «Sirius», brought together more than 80 promising managers from among rectors, deputy heads of scientific departments, representatives of technology companies and regional authorities. Among the participants are — professionals responsible for implementing public policies in the fields of education, science and innovation.
The main goal of the initiative is to form a professional community of effective managers capable of modernizing scientific and educational institutions, as well as introducing advanced approaches at all levels of management.
The course ran from 16 October 2024 to 19 July 2025 and included eight educational modules. As part of the program, students studied national priorities of scientific and technological development, mechanisms for introducing a green economy, the potential of Russian regions, issues of international scientific cooperation, digital transformation in the field of education and features of management in a multicultural environment.
Sergey Volkov successfully defended his certification work on the topic «State priorities in the field of scientific and technological development: from concept to effective implementation» and received a diploma of professional retraining, confirming the right to conduct management activities in educational and scientific organizations.
Completing the training was a significant step in the professional development of the rector of KRSU and confirmation of the university’s course towards strengthening its position in the scientific and educational space and developing strategic management.
