Report from the scene: visit of the KRSU delegation to the Jerooy gold deposit, Talas region, Kyrgyzstan
A delegation from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, led by acting rector Sergei Volkov, visited the Jerooy gold deposit, the largest in the republic. The visit took place as part of the implementation of the signed Roadmap for cooperation between KRSU and the company «Alliance Altyn», which has the rights to develop the mine.
As part of the strategic partnership agreement, the parties are implementing joint initiatives to train qualified personnel for the mining industry. The KRSU delegation got acquainted with the technological processes of gold mining, working conditions and prospects for the development of the enterprise.
«Practice-oriented training – the most important aspect of modern specialist training. We strive to ensure that KRSU students have the opportunity to undergo internships in leading industrial companies such as «Alliance Altyn». This will ensure their competitiveness in the labor market», – noted Sergei Volkov.
The Jerooy deposit – is the second largest in the country, with reserves of 90 tons of gold and 25 tons of silver. It is being developed by a Russian company «Alliance Altyn», which ensures production using modern technologies and compliance with environmental standards. The company created 1,367 jobs, with 97% of employees – citizens of Kyrgyzstan, and 70% of them – residents of the Talas region. This indicates the company's significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the region.
During the trip, representatives of KRSU personally assessed the scale of production, talked with employees and discussed the possibilities of organizing internships for students. The roadmap involves expanding cooperation in the field of educational programs, conducting joint scientific research and advanced training of specialists.
«We see great prospects for interaction, including in the field of scientific development and innovation in the mining sector», – emphasized the representative of «Alliance Altyn».
Following the visit, the parties confirmed their intention to continue cooperation and introduce new forms of interaction in the educational, research and production spheres. KRSU continues to expand partnerships with leading industrial enterprises, creating opportunities for professional growth for students and graduates.
