Results of a sociological survey at KRSU College

The Center for Sociological Research KRSU together with the administration of the College KRSU completed the annual monitoring of the social adaptation of first-year students. A total of 74 people took part in the survey.The results of the study indicate the high efficiency of the created educational environment: the vast majority of students express satisfaction with the student’s status and new lifestyle. The perception of the student body as a social phenomenon is dominated by positive characteristics: the College's studies are rated primarily as interesting (66.22%), fun (40.54%) and productive (36.49%). At the same time, 48.65% of respondents note the high intensity of the educational process, which confirms the serious academic level of the programs at the KRSU College.More than half of the students (55.41%) noted that getting used to the internal routine, teaching methods and rules of behavior at the College was easy and in a short time. A third of the freshmen surveyed (35.14%) continue to feel the need for adaptation support, so additional work is planned in the near future on the part of the College administration to expand adaptation support for students.According to the survey, the majority of respondents are satisfied with their chosen specialty. At the same time, 58.11% of students, after entering the College, maintain a positive attitude towards the chosen area of training, and 18.92% noted an improvement in their attitude towards their specialty.Communication and interaction between freshmen and teaching staff, classmates and senior students was highly appreciated by the respondents. The emerging atmosphere in student groups according to the criteria «well-willingness», «mutual understanding», «cooperation», «absence of conflicts», «mutual assistance» was also assessed positively.It is important to note that the successful adaptation of students is also facilitated by involvement in the extracurricular activities of the College: survey data confirms the active participation of students in cultural and entertainment events and student activists.The data obtained correlate with the indicators of 2022-2025. and indicate favorable learning conditions and socio-psychological climate formed at the KRSU College, which determines the success of adaptation of freshmen.
