KRSU management discussed the prospects for cooperation with the company «Kumtor»
At the company's office «Kumtor», a meeting was held between the leadership of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, headed by acting rector Sergei Volkov, and representatives of the largest gold mining company in Kyrgyzstan.
Partner universities also took part in the meeting: Siberian Federal University, St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and Magnitogorsk State Technical University. KRSU becomes a hub, a point of attraction for the interaction between science and business, combining the expertise of leading educational centers.
During the negotiations, key areas of cooperation were discussed, including the possibility of signing an agreement on interaction. Particular attention was paid to the organization of industrial practices and internships for KRSU students, the implementation of joint scientific research, as well as the development of educational programs focused on the needs of the mining industry.
Sergei Volkov emphasized that partnerships with the country's leading enterprises open up new prospects for professional growth for students and young scientists. In turn, representatives «of Kumtor» expressed their readiness to support the university’s initiatives, noting the importance of training qualified personnel for the industry.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed on further interaction and elaboration of the details of the upcoming agreement.
