Sadyr Japarov signed the law ratifying the KRSU campus project

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a law ratifying the agreement on the construction of a new campus of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. This was announced by the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov during the dean's meeting. Earlier, the Jogorku Kenesh ratified the agreement on March 18, 2026.The agreement on the implementation of the project was signed on November 26, 2025 in Bishkek. It provides for the creation of a modern university campus aimed at modernizing the educational and scientific infrastructure of the university.Construction will be financed from the federal budget of the Russian Federation. The project is focused on creating a modern academic environment, expanding opportunities for training, scientific activity and improving the quality of training of specialists.According to the rector, ratification of the agreement by the Kyrgyz side opens the practical stage of the project and allows us to begin further organizational procedures.At the same time, for the agreement to fully enter into force, it must be ratified by the State Duma of the Russian Federation and signed by the President of Russia. The rector expressed hope that all necessary procedures on the Russian side will be completed by the end of April.The new campus is expected to be one of the key educational centers that meet international standards and the requirements of a modern higher education school.
