Sergey Volkov: «KRSU is changing very quickly today»
The website of the 24.kg news agency published a long interview with the rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sergei Volkov. In a conversation with reporters, he spoke about the transformation of the university, new projects and strategic tasks facing the university.
The rector noted that KRSU is going through a period of active changes associated with both the development of educational programs and the modernization of infrastructure:
«The university is changing very quickly today. We are updating educational buildings, creating new laboratories, and introducing digital services. These steps are necessary to ensure that KRSU meets modern challenges and remains one of the leading universities in the region», — emphasized Sergei Volkov.
Special attention in the interview was paid to the construction of a new campus of KRSU. According to the rector, the project is designed to accommodate up to 15 thousand students and provides for the creation of a modern campus with laboratories, dormitories, sports and cultural facilities. The first facilities are planned to be put into operation by 2028.
In addition, Volkov spoke about the development of the school under KRSU, the growth of competition among applicants and plans to expand educational programs in the field of digital technologies, biotechnology and engineering.
«The main achievement of the university — is our youth. We want students to receive here not only a diploma, but also opportunities for self-realization in science, culture and business», — noted the rector.
