Student support and new initiatives: a meeting was held at KRSU with the curators of the ETF and FADIS
At the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin, a working meeting was held between Vice-Rector for Youth and Information Policy Stanislav Kulikov and curators of academic groups and representatives of the dean’s offices of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology and the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Construction.
The main topic of discussion was the key areas of activity of the Council for Educational Work and Youth Policy, created at the university in January 2025.
Particular attention was paid to the activities of curators of first-year academic groups, the assessment of passports of academic groups, as well as mechanisms for scholarship provision and material support for students. Among the priorities are — compensation payments for out-of-town students and the appointment of personalized KRSU scholarships for achievements in educational, scientific, sports, cultural and social activities.
The participants also discussed the election of elders, the work of the sports club and the organization of physical education classes as an important component of the active life of students.
Separately, it was emphasized that for the first time in 32 years, the university will hold a competition for the best student curator based on the results of the first semester. This initiative is aimed at supporting the most effective teachers and introducing modern approaches to educational work.
The meeting was thus an important step in strengthening the student support system and developing the curatorial institute at KRSU.
