Student cooperation: SPbPU held a strategic session at KRSU
In 2024, Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) expanded its activities to support Slavic universities. One of the key study programs was the work on the development of student communities based on the best practices of the university and the program «Accelerator of Student Communities and Youth Initiatives» developed by SPbPU. In an updated format, the program was implemented at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) as part of a strategic session aimed at forming a university development strategy. For the first time, student communities from both universities participated.
Main areas of work
The strategic session was attended by representatives of five key study programs:
student,
medical,
engineering,
human capital development,
social and humanitarian.
The joint team of the Youth Policy Department of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the university’s student communities, as well as specialists from the Center for Further Professional Education PISH «Digital Engineering» and «Boiling Points — Polytechnic» actively worked within the student track.
International interaction
The programme included three modules aimed at
Formation of systemic knowledge about the organization of activities of student communities.
Studying successful global practices.
Application of theoretical knowledge in practice.
The methodological block of the program covered the principles of organizing communities, continuity at different stages of their existence, as well as interaction with external stakeholders. Examples of successful SPbPU projects aroused keen interest among KRSU participants and served as the basis for the exchange of experience.

sports Club «Black Bears-Polytech»,
«Joint Student Council of Hostels» and other initiatives.
These organizations shared success stories, internal engagement strategies and examples of working with the external environment.
Successful partnership
Working in groups allowed participants from KRSU and SPbPU not only to exchange experiences, but also to outline joint projects aimed at strengthening student interaction between universities. The «Accelerator of Student Communities» program was an important step towards creating an international platform for the development of youth initiatives and strengthening cooperation between universities.
