A KRSU student became a prize-winner of the qualifying tournament of the Kyrgyz Chess Championship

From November 6 to 8, the tournament «Intellect Chess Cup 2025» — qualifying stage for the Kyrgyz Republic Chess Championship among children and youth 2026 was held in Bishkek. The competition was organized by the Bishkek Chess Federation and Intellect School. Dozens of the strongest chess players from different regions of the country took part in the tournament.

Zhanybekov Elkhan, a student of the PGS-2-25 group and captain of the KRSU chess team, demonstrated confident play, strategic thinking and excellent preparation. According to the results of the competition, Elkhan took third place in his age category and successfully qualified for the 2026 Kyrgyz Chess Championship!

Elkhan — one of the most active participants in the sports life of the university. He has repeatedly represented KRSU in city and national competitions, makes a great contribution to the development of the university chess movement and helps novice players improve their skills.
