A KRSU student took part in the GIRLS IN STEM webinar
Student of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University Sofia Donenko took part in the webinar "GIRLS IN STEM" at the invitation of Rosatom. The webinar was organized so that leading women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and students could share their personal stories, professional paths, challenges, motivations and experiences in overcoming gender stereotypes.
The webinar took place in the format of an online session, in which representatives of various countries took part, including Turkey, the Philippines, Armenia and Indonesia. Speakers included Dina Deineko, Associate Professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Ayew Endiningtyas of Syarif Hidoyatullah State Islamic University (Indonesia), Gabriel Marie L. Chungunko of National Taiwan University (Philippines), Nane Beglaryan of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (Armenia) and Cansu Ozdemir from Hacettepe University (Turkey).
Sofia Donenko, representing Kyrgyzstan and KRSU, shared her impressions: "The webinar has passed! It was very interesting! I was invited to represent Kyrgyzstan and KRSU as one of the best students in the country. Speakers inspired with their stories of overcoming gender stereotypes and obstacles. They shared their unique networking experience and talked about the latest scientific developments and innovations. The event was well organized, with interesting topics and useful practical advice. We were also able to ask our questions and received answers."
The event provided a unique opportunity for participants to not only learn about the latest advances in STEM, but also to expand their professional connections and receive valuable advice and inspiration from successful women who have overcome many obstacles along the way.
