Philology students KRSU listened to a lecture on Russian dialects of Siberia

Second-year students of the direction «Philology» of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University listened to a lecture by Daria Igorevna Zakharova, a teacher at the Faculty of Additional Education of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, dedicated to the Russian dialects of Siberia.

During the lesson, the main features of Siberian dialects, their historical formation, the influence of the dialect environment on the modern Russian language, as well as the specifics of the sound and lexical composition of regional speech variants were considered. The lecturer presented examples of live dialect speech and talked about how Siberian dialects are preserved and transformed under the influence of migrations and cultural processes.

The lecture aroused the interest of students, allowing them to expand their knowledge about the territorial diversity of the Russian language and its development in various regions of Russia. The event was held as part of cooperation between KRSU and leading Russian universities in the field of humanities education.
