Students of the Faculty of Humanities took part in «Dictionary Day»

On November 22, «Dictionary Day», organized by RUDN University, took place in the format of a teleconference.

Philology students from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University and the Tajik-Russian University took part in the event.

Participants heard reports from experts and students on the development of significant Tajik dictionaries and the history of the development of dictionaries in Kyrgyzstan.

Deputy Director of the IRA KRSU O. Sumarokova mentioned the fact of the presence in past centuries of linguistic conformity that hampered the development of national languages, noting the contribution of L. Budalov in the creation of a dictionary that included lexical material of the Kyrgyz language using Arabic graphics.

After the speakers' presentation, a Russian language quiz was held among the winning students from each university. Among the philologists of the Russian language department KRSU, the winner was Jamilya Lalaza (GF-2-23).
