Students and employees of KRSU took part in events dedicated to Victory Day

On May 9, students and staff of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University took part in commemorative and festive events dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.Representatives of the university joined the procession «of the Immortal Regiment», which this year united more than 30 thousand people. The route of the column passed along Baytik Baatyr, Abdrakhmanov and Frunze streets and ended on Victory Square with the laying of flowers at the Eternal Flame.The protesters came out with portraits of their relatives and friends — veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers and everyone who contributed to the Victory. The procession again became a symbol of the preservation of historical memory, respect for the feat of the generation of winners and the continuity of generations.On the same day, representatives of KRSU took part in the concert «I live and remember!» at the air base «Kant». As part of the program, the university dance group performed «Victory Waltz», which became one of the brightest numbers of the event, and was awarded a Certificate of Honor.The participation of KRSU students and staff in events dedicated to Victory Day is an important part of the university’s work to preserve historical memory, patriotic education of youth and strengthen the connection between generations.
