Students and staff of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University hold a traditional cleanup day at the memorial to those who fell during the Great Patriotic War, located in the Issyk-Ata gorge.The memorial was erected on the site of a former military hospital that operated in 1941–1945. It is home to soldiers who died of their wounds, and today the area remains an important memorial site.During the action, participants tidy up the memorial area, clean the surrounding area and carry out landscaping work.The cleanup is regular and aimed at preserving historical memory, as well as developing in students a respectful attitude towards the feat of generations.
