Students of the Department of World Languages successfully defended their theses
On June 8, the defense of final qualifying works of students of the Department of World Languages of the Federal Medical Education Institute took place in the specialty «Translation and Translation Studies (Chinese)», specialization «Linguistic support of interstate relations».
The State Examination Commission included the Chairman of the State Examination Committee, Associate Professor of the Department of Philology of BSU V. Liu, Deputy Chairman of the State Examination Committee Mr. V. Chuanggang (Director of LLC «Let's go drink») and members of the State Examination Committee (teachers of universities in Bishkek). In addition, guests from China were present at the defense.
Final qualifying papers devoted to the problems of translation and translation studies were presented to the commission for consideration. It is worth noting that for the first time at the defense, a final qualifying work was presented, prepared as a joint research project of the Department of World Languages and the Department of International Relations KRSU on the topic «Taiwan Question: Political-Semantic Analysis». The work was presented by Elizaveta Enova and Shakhadat Asanova. The commission members especially noted this study for the relevance of the topic and presentation along with a number of other scientific works, including «Characteristic tourist gaps in Chinese and Russian languages and their translation» (Dastan Sultanov), «Translation of foreign language brands into Chinese» (Argen Bekeshov) «Linguistic and translation aspects of political discourse in the Chinese media» (Aizhan Khalikova).
