KRSU students — about the accessible environment and technologies of the future

3rd year students of the Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Humanities of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University visited the enterprise UPP KOS and KOG in the city of Tokmok — there is a unique production facility where people with hearing and vision impairments work.

The main purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the peculiarities of work of people with disabilities, understand their needs and discuss ways to use modern technologies to improve the quality of their life and work.

During the meeting, students introduced presentations on neural networks <TAG1> of modern artificial intelligence systems that can become an important tool for people with disabilities:

• speech recognition programs help people with hearing impairments understand spoken language;

• speech synthesis technologies are useful for people with visual impairments;

• intelligent assistants facilitate the adaptation and training of employees.

Representatives of the enterprise noted the high level of training of KRSU students and their interest in the topic of social support for people with disabilities.

Following the visit The Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University was presented with a Letter of Gratitude for active cooperation in the project «We are together!», dedicated to the International Day of the Blind.
