KRSU students visited the Numismatic Museum of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan

Students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University took part in an educational excursion to the numismatic museum of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic. The event was held as part of educational work to improve the financial literacy of young people.The excursion participants were 1st year students of KRSU in the field «Finance and Credit», as well as students of other universities.During the excursion, participants got acquainted with a unique collection of ancient coins, and also traced the history of the formation of the national currency — Kyrgyz som over the past 30 years. The exhibition made it possible to see rare examples of numismatic heritage and learn about their historical and cultural value.Particular attention was paid to the symbols of the national currency. The guides spoke about the outstanding personalities depicted on Kyrgyz catfish banknotes and their contribution to the development of the country.The practical part of the meeting was devoted to issues of financial literacy and security. Participants were explained the current risks associated with fraud, including the phenomenon of dropping and its consequences.At the end of the excursion, KRSU students had the opportunity to put their acquired knowledge into practice: right on the spot, they issued a self-ban on lending through the state application «Tunduk».The National Bank notes that such excursions are held on a regular basis and are aimed at developing a responsible attitude towards personal finances among young people and improving the level of financial culture.
