KRSU students visited the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic

On April 15, 2026, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students of the Department of Journalism of the Faculty of International Relations of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University visited the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of an educational and career guidance program.During the visit, students were given a detailed tour of the parliament building, during which they got acquainted with the history and structure of the country's highest legislative body, and also learned about the key areas of its activities. Particular attention was paid to the lawmaking process, the work of committees and the role of parliament in the system of state power of the Kyrgyz Republic.In addition, a master class was held for students in the meeting room of the Housing Code, where representatives spoke about the practical aspects of parliamentary activities, interaction with the media and the peculiarities of covering the work of deputies.Future journalists had the opportunity to see from the inside how the information agenda is formed and how communication is built between government agencies and society.The key moment of the visit was a meeting with deputy Ismanali Egemberdievich Zhoroev. During the open dialogue, students asked questions that interested them regarding their professional path, the specifics of the deputy’s work, as well as current socio-political processes. The meeting was held in a lively and meaningful format, allowing participants to gain valuable practical experience and expand their understanding of the work of the legislative branch.Such events contribute to the formation of professional competencies of future journalists, the development of their analytical thinking and a better understanding of the mechanisms of functioning of state institutions.
