KRSU students will present a play about the heroism of women in Kyrgyzstan at the All-Russian competition «No statute of limitations»
Students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University will again take part in the all-Russian competition «Without a statute of limitations: in the mirror of historical truth». This year they will present the play «Women who went through the war», prepared by the Dance Theater «Promotion» under the direction of excellent student of culture and education Evgeniy Prokopenko.
The production is dedicated to the contribution of women of Kyrgyzstan to the Victory over fascism during the Great Patriotic War. The stories of mothers, sisters, home front workers, educators and nurses — those whose dedication and courage became part of a great feat come to life on stage.
The performance uses fragments from the story by Chingiz Aitmatov «Mother Field», as well as poems by the Kyrgyz poetess, who dedicated her work to besieged Leningrad and the feat of Toktogon Abdybasarova — a Kyrgyz woman who saved hundreds of children from the besieged city by sheltering them in the Issyk-Kul region. The musical accompaniment was songs from the war years, emphasizing the theme of female heroism and mental fortitude.
The KRSU team has already established itself at this venue: in 2023, students took first place among 45 productions with a play dedicated to the events of the Second World War.
The organizers of the competition are the Russian Historical Society, ANO «National Center of the Fatherland», as well as the Foundation «History of Historical Memory» under the President of the Russian Federation. The competition is aimed at preserving the historical truth about the crimes of Nazism and the civil feat of the peoples of the USSR.
KRSU's participation in the project — is not only a contribution to the cause of historical memory, but also a vivid example of how creative rethinking of the past helps shape the civic position of young people.
