KRSU students took part in events dedicated to Victory Day in Gatchina

On May 9, students of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University joined commemorative events in the city of Gatchina (Leningrad Region) dedicated to Victory Day. Young people took part in the ceremonial laying of flowers, and also marched in the column «of the Immortal Regiment», carrying portraits of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers — participants in the Great Patriotic War.

Among the portraits — is an image of Toktogon Altybasarova, who became a symbol of valor and humanism. During the war, she, like thousands of Kyrgyzstanis, sheltered children from the siege from Leningrad, showing true philanthropy and solidarity.

The action was another confirmation that the memory of the heroes’ feat continues to live in the hearts of the younger generation.
